VELUX Commercial is a new division in the VELUX Group established in 2019 and comprises the former JET, Vitral and VELUX Modular Skylights organizations. Today, VELUX Commercial operates as one company with more than 1200 people in 13 countries and offers to support building professionals throughout the entire process from specification to delivery and maintenance of daylight and ventilation solutions for industrial, commercial and public buildings.

Your challenges

As a Product Marketing Specialist, you will join our ambitious and dedicated Sales Team BENELUX. Together with your colleagues you will drive our business with your expertise in technical product knowledge and your marketing skills. You will be responsible for the projects assigned to you and provide technical and commercial advice to our account managers. In this role, you will report to the Sales Manager Trade & Marketing. Our Dutch office is located in Opmeer but you can also work partly from home and our office in Wavre, Belgium.

Your primary tasks include:

  • Provide support to the commercial team. Is the specialist in our product range and knows all the technical ins and outs. Understands the risks and opportunities within the specific scope of our product portfolio;
  • Point of contact for specialist questions regarding standards, rules and legislation, i.e. sifting through regulations, NEN standards and developing relevant recommendations;   
  • Gives advice on relevant topics in project sales and make sure chosen solutions are thought through and according rules and legislation. Makes sure his advise is accepted and implemented;
  • Is the linking pin between global Product Management and Benelux Sales in finding customized solutions;
  • Follow up to the local marketing plan and proactively participate to achieve the objective; 
  • Lead the planning and execution of new VELUX Commercial product launches;
  • Measure and track the performance of all product initiatives, identifying opportunities to increase product activation and expand into new use cases / segments;
  • Work with teams from across the markets.

Your qualifications

You work effectively both on your own and with colleagues to achieve company targets and goals. You see opportunities and solutions where others may see problems. You are change-oriented and see the benefit in doing things differently to achieve goals.

In addition, our expectations are:

  • Have a technical bachelor or equal through experience with strong marketing affinities; 
  • Affinity with building Industry and/or building products in a product marketing environment; 
  • Is able to read and to analyze specifications and technical architectural plans;
  • Hands-on experience with software development or quality assurance is a strong plus;
  • The ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
  • Good self-leadership, flexible, shows initiative, motivation, proactivity and is tenacious and positive;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. French would be a big plus (willingness to learn).
